{"id":490,"date":"2018-10-22T21:30:41","date_gmt":"2018-10-23T02:30:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/tabletopracingclub.com\/?p=490"},"modified":"2023-01-16T22:50:17","modified_gmt":"2023-01-17T04:50:17","slug":"race-report-speed-circuit-2018-mexico","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tabletopracingclub.com\/?p=490","title":{"rendered":"Race Report &#8211; Speed Circuit 2018 Mexico"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Last Race of the 2018 season &#8211; Double Points.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Miki Hakkinen plunged through pack to seize the lead on the first lap, but quickly burned through his wear and skill points.\u00a0 Miki eventually crashed out of the race crushing any hope of winning the championship.\u00a0 Phil Hill, Damon Hill, and John Watson fought for the lead.<\/p>\n<p>Team Lotus put up a brilliant fight, but Phil Hill passed the start finish line first on the second and then on the final lap to win the race and secure 1st place in the championship.\u00a0 Lotus&#8217; Watson finished 2nd in the championship ahead of Mclaren driver James Hunt.\u00a0 Ferrari driver Villeneuve finished 4th only 2 points behind Hunt.<\/p>\n<p>McLaren won the manufacturer&#8217;s trophy followed by Lotus and Ferrari.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Race results:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1st Den (P.
