{"id":519,"date":"2019-02-03T11:13:35","date_gmt":"2019-02-03T17:13:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/tabletopracingclub.com\/?p=519"},"modified":"2023-01-16T22:51:36","modified_gmt":"2023-01-17T04:51:36","slug":"race-report-speed-circuit-2019-kyalami","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tabletopracingclub.com\/?p=519","title":{"rendered":"Race Report \u2013 Speed Circuit 2019 Kyalami"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Brabham Triumphs While Ferrari Avoids Disaster<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Honda and Brabham dominated this years Kyalami race.\u00a0 Ferrari driver Niki Lauda, frustrated by the slow pace of the race, made a bold move to insert himself into the lead position, but failed a pass through attempt and nearly wrecked his car in turn 7.\u00a0 Despite falling back and lacking wear and skill points, Lauda managed to finish the race in 3rd place.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_527\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-527\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-527 size-medium\" title=\"Tabletop Racing Club Kyalami 2019\" src=\"http:\/\/tabletopracingclub.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/Kyalami_2019-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-527\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Honda Leads Lap 1<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Honda driver Richie Ginther and Brabham owner Jack Brabham stayed ahead of the pack and exchanged the number 1 and 2 positions throughout the race.\u00a0 Brabham secured the lead on the last lap and took the checkered flag.\u00a0 Ginther finished second followed by Lauda and Phil Hill.<\/p>\n<p>Rookie team manager Dan made his debut heading the Winklemann Racing squad!
